Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

no DEERS, no paycheck :( If the RDC reads this... can you pass it along to my hubby that neither of them are here yet.. :( I don't know how they would know which one is my hubby... but.. I thought I would mention it. I hope everyone gets their letter and calls this week!

I got a call from my husband today... it was about the DEERS packet.. last week when he got his first call i made sure to let him know I have not received it yet.. they let him call to tell me he will be sending another one soon, thank god! Call was really quick but to talk to him again was so wonderful. Paycheck was a plus!

sorry ladies for not getting any phone calls. that is not cool, yeah I know their RDC may read this. I am hoping they do. We would like updates from our loved ones!! I keep thinking that the Army basic I did maybe was too easy since we called home every Sunday! But then again, it was 13 weeks when I went through in 91!

here is an article for those who have not read about battlestations, but it was a nice thing to print out for my son to give them a "heads up". They arent telling the boys anything about battlestation from what my son tells me.

I got the call yesterday!!!! WOO-HOO needless to say I'm still on cloud nine it's lovely to hear from him! He says the hardest thing there is being away from everyone. Have a great day everyone!! Keep your spirits up!
