I am not feeling sad...or happy....probably not feeling anything. I find myself sort of in limbo...just waiting for the next month to pass.

Just got home...and NO letter! Bummer! Oh well, just gotta keep writing and waiting.... something to get used to in this Navy life...........Thanks for all the birthday wishes - We will be celebrating graduation and his birthday together also. One thing to remember about our guys and gals not being home for special events ---they go in harm's way to defend our rights and freedom to enjoy "special events".... and when we finally get to hold them in our arms that moment will be a real "special event"... Really missing him tonight tho....

My husband called and said he got 2 letters from Derrick, dated Jan 12th & Jan 17th. Mike is so excited to hear from him. I guess I'll get to read them when I get home. Thanks, BitterSweetMomma for letting me know about the Ramada. I didn't want to take a chance so I got a room at the Navy Lodge for Feb 25-Mar 1 that way if Derrick gets to take liberty on Saturday and Sunday we won't have to scramble to find a room. I can always cancel the extra rooms if he has to Grad & Go.

I am getting so excited! Just booked the Residence Inn! I got my first letter last Thursday so I'm hoping I'll get one today too. Today is my son's BDay ! I really miss him but know that he's where he should be - doing what he's been working so hard for.. Hope we ALL get letters soon!
