Evening everyone... Made it back to Va Beach today...nice warm 50s....

It was great meeting those of you I did meet, but of course the best part was seeing my new Sailor and getting to spend some time with him. It went fast and yes it was so very hard on Sunday driving him back to the base - and getting those last hugs in...sigh....

I look forward to more visits tho, and phone calls, and texts and emails and skyping...etc. etc...

I am pooped tho - emotionally and physically.... glad we all made it through this and I want to thank you all for you support these last few weeks. This group made it bearable...

Bless you all

We're home to a mess. Half the town is w/o power, no school today as they are being used as shelters. 5 feet of heart attack snow, three trees down in our yards one took out the neighbors fence. Luckily no one was hurt, and nothing hit the houses, cars or our boat, so it's all good! Our Sailor had his orders shredded and is awaiting new ones. He also mentioned that they are sending MA class sailors to the battle zones in towel head country. But that wouldn't be until after a school. So we'll keep hope alive that he doesn't have to go & if he does that he's safe 24/7. Before our goodbye last night my husband handed him a Challenge Coin that he had engraved with our sons name and date. Did anyone else do the same.? My husband says it's a tradition thing. He went on to tell me about it, I think its a silly thing but alas a male thing and you know the saying of boys and their toys :)

We also met and adopted a fine Lad who is on the road to a better life and we hope his wedding plans come to fruition

We are heading out very early also. It was a wonderful visit and it is amazing to see the difference a few weeks make! Everyone who is leaving tomorrow have a safe trip. Hopefully the weather will cooperate better than the trip out here.

Hey all, just thought I would check in, I see everyone is still busy with their trips- What a great ceremony! I cannot believe how much my son has matured, He was already mature, but WOW!
