Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

No nothing today. I though we were done with letters. ALL OF OUR SAILORS deserve to be honored. I don't think my son is any better off then they are as there is NO I in TEAM, yes he got a promotion E3 and his award was for expert shooting. He says his GPA is 3.8. So I'm quite sure there are 4.0 and better there that may be more deserving and rightly so. But If it should happen that a letter comes then I'll just have to re-pack lol

Side boys and piping the side is a heritage from the British Navy. It originated in the time of sail,
when captains visited one another at sea and were hoisted on board in net baskets if the weather
was too rough to permit the use of gang ways. The officer-of-the-deck ordinarily summoned
from the crew several hands to assist the visitor in making a landing on deck.
Thus, there came about the custom of having "side boys" to meet officers.
The use of "side boys" in today's Navy is strictly ceremonial.

I was able to get on the site but it still has the honor graduates of PIR 19 :(( Was hoping they might have the Feb 26 honor grads up but guess we all get to be left in suspense. For those of you with the back pains, I will gladly let you have my left over demerol and let you guys be the zombies for once lol
