You summed it up for me Ozmom! It does feel surreal...kind of like the last few days before my son left.... Bizarre! My stomachis in knots, my mind is racing, my dog is looking at me nervously! LOL I have so much to do but feel compelled to check back in on my adopted family here for some reassurance that "yes, everything is going to be ok....." ... glad to know I'm not alone in my pyschotic state... Deep Breath... Deep Breath....

Good morning all! I slept like a baby last night, only woke up twice this time. The clock says 4!!!!!! 4 days til PIR! That means I will be leaving in 3! I still have to find the suitcases... somewhere in the attic, along with rodents or other various creatures. I think I will elect my son to climb up there since he is 2x my size and I have the excuse that I am temporarily disabled. lol Feeling good today, going to try to get some last minute things done so I can have our bags packed and waiting. I am so anxious for PIR!!!! I am going to cry a river of tears!

Love the ribbon crystal! Mine is plain too OzMom! Glad your hubby is ok cudawn - those deer hits can be nasty.

Lots to do today! Last day off before we go. I saw the weather report too monica, but am hoping that the chicago area knows how to handle it by now and will have it cleared and ready for us!

Good luck to everyone today on keeping your sanity ! Hey OzMom could you send your monkeys this way? - I need some help!!!

I think the coast guard would definitely be a fun job, and at least be at home more often.

lol My 17 yr old is right behind his big brother too. While my boys have never had to shovel snow, for that matter ever seen snow, they were my yard boys, raking and burning leaves- I think after they are all moved out, I will get a condo on the beach and not have to worry about any of it.
Comment by True Grit on February 20, 2010 at 9:44pm
True Lol but hey he shoved a lot while home too, In fact I did loose my yard man that duty will now fall upon his younger brother who's getting ready to join up I hope he chooses the Coast Guard lol

It is my understanding that marine bootcamp is somewhat repetitive of navy bootcamp, and actually get paid less than navy also
