haha, Amber funny you mention that about STDs. My wife's building is STD heaven according to the INDOC she got!! Too funny, lots of young ladies that don't understand the concept of protecting yourself and being careful!

After being in the building waiting to sign my wife out for liberty I see what she has been saying about some young ladies not knowing how to dress appropriately and conservatively.

My wife said that the first few days of class there was a lot of instruction about safe sex and being careful. Then on Friday before liberty more instruction about safe sex!

I guess we don't have too worry too much about combat in Pensacola, just STDs!!

Crystal I agree with the area of Pensacola not being bad at all. It's actually sort of small. However I guess that is relative. I mean compared to where they just left from just about everything seems small LOL
I think commands biggest concern is STD's as Escambia county has the highest rate of STD's in Florida. They actually gave a class in INDOC sounds corny but it was "Don't be Silly Wrap your Willy".
I know its an embarassing subject but.... better safe than sorry.

OK Ladies, just a little bit of info to pass on for those who might not know, Pensacola is not too bad of a town as far as danger. Of course as with any big city, there will be some violence, but it really isnt bad. Car sales- Florida has a "rebuilt" option. They take totalled cars, rebuild them and retitle them. Most of the time they are decent cars, but just know that it is legal there. I actually bought a 2003 Alero with 67,000 miles on it for 5000. in 2004. I will say it has been a good car and still going at 184,000 miles, but you never know what you will get Luckily my rebuilt car didnt leave me stranded. Tell your guys to definitely use carfax. It might also be a good idea for them to carshop in Destin or Fort Walton.. OK Laptops, just as a suggestion, I shopped online for my sons laptop at best buy. Moms- they can deliver it to your son for you! I paid 329.00 for a compaq presario that has windows 7 and all the extra programs that my son will need for school.

Navybum you are so awesome! Thanks for the pics added them! Sorry about the glasses :( but a small price right!
My husband is finished with his INDOC classes today too. That only lasts about a week then they will have possibly ATT or AWAT or both... depending on their rate.
But Rick has other duty the rest of the week. Good thing too because he still has not had time to straighten out our BAH. Now with me leaving my job we are going to need that money not to mention... they owe it to us. I never really thought about us being a one income family but its looking more and more like this might be the case more often than not.

I too need pictures, I broke down sobbing when their division came out and couldn't take pictures.
Got a call from my son, he starts school tomorrow, he has been going a little crazy with his debit card, just small things but they are starting to add up. It's his first time with a debit card and he sees how easy it is to use it!!!
