For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

He thinks we are still in Florida weather...I'll check back in later this afternoon. Everyone have a wonderful day!

Just caught up on all the postings -we ar an early crew aren't we?
Making my ribbon today and wil be doing the family thing as well ( dad, brother, grandmother,)
Thank you and AMEN for the prayers - they have so much to accomplish this last week, I think I will burn multiple candles this week.
Regarding BS - when I spoke with my son he said he will finish up BS Thursday morning.
EVERYONE - I know we are all worrried but please think positive! When I spoke with my son he corrected me when I said if you pass BS and he said - mom, WHEN I pass BS.......goes to show you they do learn!!!
Lots to do today, but will check in later...have a great day!

From what I understand both groups will be broken down into smaller groups and sent in with the smaller groups, but that the sister division would have battlestations at the same time. I may be wrong on this

Comment by crystaldj1972 6/915 on February 16, 2010 at 11:26am: Clarissa, Battlestations should be next week, monday thru wednesday. Not all of us know when exact schedule is per division. Maybe we will all get letters today stating when it will be!
