Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by RAINE13 on December 23, 2013 at 2:20am: Good evening, I was looking at the hotel on base at great lakes, have anyone stayed there before, I would like to know how the stay there was, it is about $20.00 cheaper then navy lodge, I really dont need anything fancy,but i would still like to hear past experiences, and would people who aren't in the navy,or a spouse to someone in the navy able to stay?

Comment by lemonelephant on December 14, 2013 at 1:01am: The default Privacy Setting on N4M is "Anyone." That means that ANYONE with access to the web has access to everything on your My Page. To change that, make change number 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile), While you are there, read the Page and see if there are other changes you need to make.
