Velitia, she will submit the names for the Access list 10-14 days before PIR. Write to her and let her know who will be attending.

Velitia. Yes, you have plenty of time. Our son changed his the week before. Just write her and tell her if she calls.

Texasproud, Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) to help you know how to plan your weekend. I invite you join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) while you are there and to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there as well.

My son's A school is in Pensecola.  How much time will we have with him from the end of graduation until his Liberty is over.  I'm getting conflicting reports.  Some say only from the end of graduation until about 8:00p.m.  Others reports say possibly through Saturday.  Anyone know for sure?

renee, join the group, PIR 09/06/2013 TG 43 - 11 Divisions (331-340 and 943), to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR.  Divisions 335 and 336 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so look for others with loved ones in either division.  There is a discussion within that group for the two divisions. You may also want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones).

paigesmom - We attended PIR on 8/9.   By 8:15 the place was full.   We arrived at 7:00 and got a seat on the floor level in the very back row.  This gave us few advantages:  1 -we could stand up to see better pictures without disturbing anyone. 2 - We had a perfect vantage point our pictures.  This was key because our son was on the outside opposite the side facing us.  If we had been closer down or unable to stand, we wouldn't have been able to see him clearly. 3 - The concrete wall makes the bleacher seats bearable.  At least you have something to lean on.  4 - We got the best parking spot in the garage (bottom entry level near the exit), which was very helpful after PIR was over.  5 - The MWR line for purchasing items was quite long the closer it got to PIR.  We were able to look/purchase early on.

I know 7 sounds early, but the time really did pass quickly.
