I'm leaving in 13 days for a trip to see my daughter in Pt. Mugu!  Can't wait!  Tomorrow is her 20th birthday & I won't be spending it with her!

Am planning a trip next month...taking my granddaughter to Disneyland and will swing over to the base to meet up with my son...also loved that part of the CA coast....:)

April should be nice weather, doesn't rain much in SoCal....

My son seems to really like PT Mugu. We visited him last August. And I plan on going down in April when he re-enlists.

HI there...

My sailor just finished C school in VA after being in Pcola for 9 months for A school...Pt Mugu is his first duty station....he saw him last weekend for a long lunch and he seems to be enjoying it there...:))

Greetings BeachBunny, my sailor just left Japan for training in VA, then will be reporting to Pt. Mugu.  Leaving the GW group of 505 to Pt Mugu with 13 of us, not much activity here.  Where was your sailor's last duty?  We are in NY, but CA is a lot closer than Japan.  LOL!

Hello Ladies..

My sailor arrived to Pt Mugu in December....we live in CA so he is only a few hours from home...this base is small compared to the others in So Cal, weather has been really nice this winter...coastal mtns range is right there...very pretty area of the CA coast....

My son is leaving CA & headed to VA in March, all if things go as planned. I never hear until months later... so who knows. My hubby saw him at Pt Mugu, but IT never did. My son has liked the proximity to the mtns.

Monica61, no pointers here.  My son is going there from the USSGeorge Washington in March.  This site looks kinda of lonely coming from the GW group of 503 members.  Would love to hear about your visit.  :)  How long has your daughter been in the Navy and at Point Mugu.  I have a neighbor here in NY that grew up 15 miles from Pt. Mugu, she has been kind enough to tell me he will never want to return to NY once he is in Pt. Mugu.  LOL  At least he will be this side of the Pacific.  It is suppose to be very beautiful.

My daughter is stationed in Point Mugu.  Planning a trip there from Texas.  Any pointers?
