Hello ladies, I just now found your group! My son is in a-school in Pensacola, and lately I've been struggling with missing him and how to pray for him. Does anyone know of a really good devotional specifically for our type of situation? I googled devotional a for navy moms and that's how I found y'all! So this will help, but I would really like to find a book. Thanks!

Thank you God for the safe return of the USS John C Stennis who came home safely from an 8.5 month deployment.

Praying for the Nuke's in GC...I believe God does greater than we ask or think, because that's what His word says.  We need to keep asking boldly :) I pray those using this forum would become bolder in their devotions with God and in telling others of His great Love, also that their loved ones in the US Navy would be strengthened in the Strength of God.  I pray their lives would be blessed and renewed by His love.  I pray our loved ones would be surrounded by Godly influences and Godly people.  I pray they would learn to turn all their lives over to our Loving God..the good things AND all their troubles.  Jeremiah 29:11 says He has a future and  hope for them!  A plan for good and not  for evil.  I pray for our loved ones in the Navy would begin to seek God,,,because when they seek for Him, they will definately find Him.  Lets lift them in our prayers BY NAME !  Thank you God that we can trust You for answers!!!

In church yesterday, a very intelligent young lady in our congregation was engaged in conversation with me when I asked her to back up and repeat what she had just told me.  "I am joining the Navy" she said with sparkling eyes.  "That's what I just thought you said" said I.  Have you seen a recruiter?"   "Yes".   "You know we are a new navy family as well" I remarked. "Yes" she said.  This was wonderful to me.   As she walked off with her friend, her dad happened to walk up.  "Yes" , he shared, " for a couple of years she has known she wanted to join the armed forces...but she didn't know what branch to choose.  Well, one night she had a dream that she was dressed in an officer's uniform in the US Navy and so THAT is how her journey begins."!!!!!!!!

Amen BarbaraLee!  I know I'm gonna love this site...I use Stormie O'Martien 'Power of a Praying....' books alot personally.  I encourage anyone to pick up one of these great prayer tools if you ever see one on a shelf somewhere.   I'll be agreeing that our sailors and recruits would be given strength from the Lord to stand against the  Spirit of Alcoholism and sustance abuse and that they would look to their Baptizer for His Holy Spirit to strengthen them and fill them with God's Spirit and life.  I pray a Spirit of praise would fill their lives and that they would continually speak words of life boldly and unashamedly.  halleluiah.

I was just reading some of the post and although these are from a couple of months ago the prayers are so encouraging I happen to read Psalm 91 everyday because it is a Psalm of protection and I read it for all of our Sailors/Recruits and all that are in the military. I pray everyday for each and everyone of them and their families I ask God to cover them all with His Precious Blood. Thank You So Much for this group and all of the prayers that are being sent up th The Almighty God that we serve. I hope that there will be more activity or posts so we can keep each other encouraged to be helpers one to another in Jesus Name NewSeason888 Thanks for those powerful prayers as well God Bless
