For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Prayers for those in the storm's way
We pray that you keep your people safe as they find themselves in the path of yet another horrible storm. It has been only 3 years since they faced this last. In the meantime they have lost homes, jobs, health and safety and security. We ask that you bless the protection of the levees, that you keep every one in the evacuation areas under your wings, and that you protect the service men and women who are also in Gustav's way.
Be with our sailors and their families. Keep lines of communications open. Lead the government to help in orchestrated and organized ways to maximize the safety of all.
Please be with all who will be watching the storms in the safety of their homes far away from the storms, and put them into action to help others.

Please pray for all of those in the path of Hurricane Gustav. I just dropped my son off at Boot Camp after our last visit. He will be flying from Chicago to Dallas tomorrow morning and then flying from Dallas to Pensacola tomorrow afternoon and landing in Pensacola tomorrow evening around 6pm. Please pray for him as he arrives as this hurricane is heading into the Gulf. He has been told he will be on hold for a minimum of 8 weeks before his schooling starts. But he feels the urgency to be there when the hurricane hits. He said he may not be serving his Country in a way that you might think, like fighting an enemy. He wants to serve by helping any way he can helping those who will be affected by this storm. He said this is his time to stand out, this is his time to show what he is capable of, this is time to serve the Citizens of this great Country. I have never felt so much pride as I did when he told me this. He has no fear of flying right down in the middle of this. He is ready to show he is Navy strong .

Let us all agree in prayer that the storm blow harmlessly, that the Gulf residents are spared harm or damages, in His name.

Let the Wind Blow is a song from the 80's. My children and I sang it during a very bad thunderstorm, where the lights went out for everyone on the block, but came back on in my house. No explanation except we were really fervent in prayer, for we were really afraid.

Thank you God as we slowly hear from the Moms we know who were in the hurricane's way (see Helpful Hurricane Hints.) Continue to keep them and their families safe. Thank you for allowing pets to go, too, as seen on the news. This has allowed many who might not otherwise leave to have the option of knowing their pets will be safe and reunited with them.

Beautiful prayer! I am adding my voice to your prayer, my son is in Gulfport, he has been evacuated to a warehouse "somewhere". Dear Lord keep everyone safe in this storm, watch over our sailors in the storms path!
