Just received this from Yvonne: I have to Praise the Lord!!He is so good to me and us! Last night was the first time in 2 months that I had a good night sleep almost all the way through the night! And the Lord is true to His Word about healing me. I am getting so much better pain wise too. The Dr, ordered a bone growth stimulator that I wear for 2 hours a day. It is supposed to cause the bones to fuse faster. Hallelujah!
I would like prayer for John, He has been such a good caregiver! But he has been lacking in sleep, especially at night checking on me. He did take a nap this morning and feels so much better, but I would like prayer for him that he would get more restful sleep at night! Thank you all so much! Blessings to you all!! Yvonne ( I was contacted by a mom on Navy for Moms and she tried to get ahold of you Blondie but could not and others but got through to me . So that is how I am getting these messages to relay onto you all)
Yvonne got sick last a hard night. Feeling better today .
Yeah Yvonne!!!! You look Great! John Bless you, you're doing a great job at supporting her and keeping everything (or most things) straight. May God's hand always be upon you.
Yesterday from John: Wow! What a day today was! The nurse came today at 8:00 to change Yvonne's bandage. 10:00 was the Home Health Aid came for a bath , in between I put the Tub transfer bench together. Then 11:00 the Occupational Therapist came and put Yvonne through the wringer! She transferred her for the first time to the stair lift. So Yvonne went upstairs. They practiced going from the stair lift, to the walker, and then to the transfer bench in the tub. Then she rode the stair lift back down. We sat outside on the patio in the sunshine. Then Yvonne folded the laundry and we cooked dinner(Yvonne's part was better than mine!)
Thanks be to God!
Good morning everyone!!! John posted yesterday: Great day for Yvonne.
Just received this post from John: A treat for Yvonne today - sitting in the sun
Glad for any news. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. The Lord is our Strength!
Heavenly Father, hear are prayers for Yvonne and her family. Be with them in a special way. Let them feel your presence and Love. Watch over all our Military families and give them Peace. Amen.
I received this from another Navy mom from a different group and do not know how to transfer the link she sent me for all of us to receive an update on Yvonne, so I am typing it out.She has been home from the rehab center for a week tomorrow. It's great having her home! Sarah and Jacob have been staying here with us too. They have really helped Yvonne's spirit and blessed her heart! Yvonne is up and active quite a lot each day. However with that there is a price to pay. She has been experiencing increased pain at times. Especially at night when her back and legs "seize up". We called the doctor yesterday and they added a second dose of Gabapentin to be taken at night, it helped with the spasms last night. But today she has had pain most of the day. When the home health care physical therapist came this morning she pushed past the pain and worked with her. She stood up in front of the kitchen sink three times(52 sec. 45sec,50 sec). She's been having pain most of the afternoon and evening when she sits in her wheelchair. In bed she can relax and seems to not suffer as much. She listens to an audio that Elizabeth sent us that is an "affirmations" audio that also helps her relax when she's in pain.I've been doing a lot of praying for this afternoon and evening. Please do the same for her. Especially in an area on her right side that always gives her pain. I hate seeing her in so much pain! I know the Word says to be strong and of a good courage. But sometimes right now I don't feel very strong or courageous. But I know when I am weak He is strong! His strength is made perfect in my weakness. I believe the Lord told us that He would restore Yvonne to health and heal her wounds(Jer 30:17). And then confirmed that when He told us "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He Who promised is faithful"(Heb 10:23). Please continue to pray for us!! (This was sent yesterday to the Navy Mom)
