Nanette, I couldn't agree more. I have shopped Black Friday, but not for stuff for me. Only for good deals for my.family & I was never mean or vicious like some of those others are. Praise God for my family & friends. My son & I have been chatting this morning & that is one of the best thanks for me. He is overseas...

Isn't it amazing how people say how thankful they are for what they have. But can't wait to be the first in line for that big new TV because the one they have isn't good enough? Yet they say they just said they are so thankful for what they have :-\ doesn't make much sense to me. I don't get how one can be so thankful but so greedy at the same time. Rather sad don't you think. Don't get me wrong I'm all for a good sale but the greed that comes with black Friday is awful. Never have shopped this day nor will I ever. With that said. Heavenly Father I ask that you give safe travel to all who will heading back home and to their stations these next few days.

Blessed Thanksgiving to one and all. Well this is our last Thanksgiving with or daughter before she leaves for BC. and it will also be our last Christmas she leaves in March. Our house is going to be very empty. Our oldest daughter, her husband our grandson have been with us a yr. and 1/2 home from MI after he finished seminary. So they are waiting on a call to Corvallis, OR. to do a church plant there or possibly Olympia, WA. This is all very sad but very exciting for our whole family. Heavenly Father I thank you for my family and friends, be with all of service men and women this day give them and their families extra comfort as they are away from one another. We give You our love and praise.

Lord God, please be with our sailors on the GW who are being sent to make a presence known to the N. Koreans. Please watch over them and keep them safe from all harm. God we just ask that You will keep things from escalating any further. Be with the families of these sailors and all the military currently stationed in Korea. Give them Your peace and comfort. We know You are in control of all things and we choose to trust You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
