Blondie,

Glad to hear that you found our Jesus faithful to see you through all the things going on in your lives! He is faithful! Praying that He will continue to give you strength and trust and the peace that passes all understanding and that Jesus will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Blessings,

Yvonne and John

Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.  1 Peter 3:9

Lord, remind me of your grace as I seek to show mercy to others rather than retaliate or seek revenge. Help me to bless those who would harm me.

Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.  1 Timothy 4:12

Dear Jesus, I look to you as my perfect role model and holy example. Keep me mindful that others see you by what I do and say.

These have been a Great help to me through all this. In my mind there is a fine line between gossip and being of help. My family wanted all the details and did you call.....?  No just because I KNOW something doesn't mean I have to tell all to everyone.  If it doesn't concern them or their family...Why do they Need to know?  If I ask you to Pray for me or a family member or a joint friend, do I need to tell you which friend? and why?  No GOD KNOWS !  Just Pray!  As you can see (guess)  I struggle, trying to be kind and thoughtful but I feel no need to gossip (even if I know it's true) or Spread the word.  I feel like they are rejoicing in others pain. Or boosting their egos.....But then I have to remind myself Don't judge them!

I struggle Lord, You Know I do.  But I turn to you for Help.  I want to Love all and be a good example.

Ladies please Pray for us.

Sorry Ladies I have been absent. Life struggles.... But our God has been Faithful and stood by me.  He gave me strength when I needed it and words when my own failed me.

A friend since childhood was arrested and convicted and sentenced for rape under the age of 13.  It just sickens me. Been Praying for his family, the victim and her family and yes for him. what snapped?  A father figure to me for the last 28 years had 3 heart surgeries last week!  besides the one he had 2 weeks ago, his families struggles and fighting I was able to be somewhat of a sensible voice and ease some calm. A close family friend's father passed away, one of my bosses (like a sister to me) son was expelled from school..... On a happier note my nephew was in the school play and my pregnant daughter and SIL came down for Sunday's showing so to see her feeling better and being able to make the trip was priceless! Our taxes were done wrong and we owed $14,000.00! The owner of the accounting firm met with us Saturday evening and we got it straighten out, we get a refund.... so as you see it's been and up and down couple of weeks, our clothes washer died, my van need major repairs....But the Lord our God seen us through it all. Praise be.

So as you can imagine our Lenten Season is not going as planned. But my Mama always said we plan and God laughs.  So I told my Husband, maybe God was telling us to slow down, look what's important. Maybe our Lenten Journey is to make time for others, sympathize, grow more dependent on him!  Because that is what has happened. In our busy lives we made time to see family, time to Really Talk to people, Listen and Try to Understand. And believe me we hung onto Christ and depended on our Father to see us through.  Nothing got done at my house, but really it's only a house, dishes, laundry.....People, family, community Matters.  Thank you for listening. May God Bless you and your families.

The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.  Nahum 1:7

I trust you completely, Lord, and take refuge in the shelter of your goodness. Thank you for protecting me from all the storms that came my way.  My I keep my calm and values...And my sympathetic heart and love of others always. Thank you Father, please continue helping me. With Christ your Son all things are possible. Amen

This song is stuck in my head.

Refrain: Jesus, come to us; lead us to your light.
Jesus, be with us, for we need you.

1. Lord, we come before you, listen to our prayer.
Fill us all with hope and your love.

2. Lord, we come to praise you for your faithfulness through night.
You will be with us; this we know.

3. Lord, you give us wonders, your glory to all. We believe in you; come to us.

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.  Psalm 68:19

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.  Isaiah 26:3

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.  Psalm 23:2–3

Dear God, I feel so weighed down by life sometimes. Thank you for bearing my burdens and lightening my load today and always. Father, I know that today won’t be perfect, but I also know that your peace is all I need—because it is perfect, just like your love for me. In the midst of my busyness and activity, please remind me that I need you and you want to give to me quiet moments. You want to come to me and give me your Peace, I just have to invite you in and remain with you. Thank you for ministering to me, Thank you for Loving me, Thank you for your Grace, thank you for my Peace. Through Christ Your Son, Amen

Thank you for these thoughts, scriptures and prayers Blondie!  It helps to know that God is in control and has these young men and women in His hands even when we can't hold them close in our arms.  His love is farther than the east is from the west!  Prayers for all, especially those who might be going through a time of discouragement right now.

Live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Ephesians 5:2
Lord, I want to be a sweet fragrance to the people I encounter today. Let your sense of love and compassion linger behind me wherever I go.

Comment by Jesusintheboat on February 27, 2019 at 12:06pm

Amen Thank you for that Blondie

God wants you to know that you can't rid the world of sorrow, but you can choose to live in joy.
Sorrow is with us not because we are bad at stopping it, but simply because it's part of being human. What matters is not whether good or bad things happen - both will, but your relationship to them. Just think back over the last 24 hours, - what had you taken hard that you could have taken lightly?
