Dear Lord, as Melsmom's daughter combats fatigue, please give her strength and patience. We ask in your holy ways that you provide the avenue to take care of these "hiccups." Be with the family as they wait out this time too. Amen

Dear Lord, please help my daughter as she is going through processing. We have received a phone call from her (in addition to the "Im safe" one), so there have been some hiccups. Please give her with wisdom and strength to pull through this. Whatever Your plan is for her, please give us all the courage and strength to trust in it.

Amen

Dear Lord--thank you for the fellowship of sisterhood with you and with our friends. Last night was amazing. Three of us were together in your name as we celebrated the long time friendships of our sons for many years. We lift up Nick in Iraq, Jeff in Guam, and Andy under the sea. Thank you for the opportunity to be together in dinner and to be able to share openly with one another. Amen

Blondie, thank you for letting me know about this!! :) This group is simply amazing!

NNM, thank you...my daughter just arrived at boot camp and I am sure she is already feeling it. Spirituality is so important to strength! Good luck with your new job...will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you Blondie. Congrats to your daughter for being so strong and dedicated to get through such a tuff time. I pray my son has the same strength and determination that your daughter did. You are aloud to turn down a medical discharge? I didn't know that. I hope he's aware he can choose to stay if they suggest a discharge to him. I'm afraid he's missing his girlfriend and all this down time is going to get in his head and he will make a decision that he'll end up regretting. I've seen a lot of posts from Mom's who's recruits have been discharged because they were diagnosed with depression. Please continue to pray for my son Christopher, I feel so helpless right now and I know it's in Gods hands.

I have been writing him and sending him lots of encouragement! He hasn't called me, only called his girlfriend. I'm hoping and praying next time he gets to make a call, that he will call me. I will def. be his cheerleader. I agree strongly that his Navy career will change his life for the good! It worries me that he's having doubts, I think he's discouraged. Thank you for your prayers and kind words!

We are blessed to have you with us Karen~Christopher's Mom. Please look up Rose R--if you can't find her, I'll send you her link. She has worked the Ship 6 for a long time and has lots of resources.
God Bless. Carol

I am fairly new to N4M and I have a recruit (my son Chris) in bootcamp. He has recently been seperated from his group and sent to ship 6 with a stress fracture in his heel. He is very bummed to say the least, and I'm afraid he's getting depressed and homesick. Please pray for his healing and strength to continue on, so he may continue on with bootcamp once he is better. I'm sure he doesn't see the light at the end of the tunnel right now, and I know he will regret it if he ends up getting medically discharched. He has called his girlfriend the last two times he was able to call home, and I don't think that helps his situation any. I know he misses her and her him, so I'm sure it's tuff when he speaks to her. She told me the last time she talked to him he told her he wanted to come home. I honestly believe that would be a big mistake. He has wanted to join the navy ever since I could remember. Please pray for my son! Thank you all! Everyone I've met so far on this site has been wonderful.
