OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A Place for Prayers

I think it would be great to have a place to post requests, answers, or just general prayers for Class 281 or any pre-bud family. Everyone is Welcome!

Bravo Zulu to all the boys on their way to the next stop. I still remember B saying that they were told that anyone who makes it to BUDS is the top 2 percent of the U.S. Military. HooYah Class 281!!

To those who end up taking another path, they also get a Bravo Zulu for making it as far as they did in this program and then being brave and charting a new course!!

There are some good ideas on the main page. One mom got a gift card for the NEX online, but that only works if your guy is staying in GL, I think.

Kim, I don't want to see drownproofing myself!! I know it's a good thing, but, I'm a wimpy mom about seeing my kids struggle. I was my daughter's coach when she had her babies though. (sorry, I got a "rambling award" in one of the other groups) LOL

Good morning Class 281, they moved B out of the building to make room for the newbie pre-budders, but he's still in a dorm room-type building with other 'holdies." (I didn't make that one up, that's what they call them.) He says it's good because he still gets to work out and keep himself ready for SWCC to start. I am so excited for him to come home! I'm going to have a hard time sharing him....He finally got over the broncitis (sp?). I'm thinking of telling him to get some Airborne and take it before he flies. I always get sick after being on an airplane, he doesn't need that.
