Hi Everybody: WE ARE ON for this Sunday!
Here is a note from Kathy - if we want to join in we are most welcome. Thank you Kathy for asking for us. Here is the scoop:

At 12:53pm on September 9, 2009, Kathy Atkinson said…Susan,
Any N4M's can march with the Blue Star Mother's at the Constitution Day parade. Have them meet at the top of Broad street, entry 21 at 1:30. Wear a patriotic shirt, hat, sun screen, bring water, walking shoes. We will carry photos or banners of our kids. (I checked this out with our president). Check out the photo on my page of our group at a similar parade.

Hi everybody: I just found this group. I'd like to invite everyone to check out the events tab there are meet and greats happening for you to be part of. The one on the 13 is at our home. Unforutunately, there is low attendance. If you can come, please consider yourself welcome.
Our sailor has been in six years, and is a NUKE. He is currently on shore duty at Bremerton. Just finished his first four years of sub duty on the Pennsylvania (boomer). He and his family live at the sub base at Bangor, WA.

We are headed out for our annual family reunion to Topaz Lake - anyone know where that is?
I hope that you all have a great labor day, and if you are traveling -be safe and have fun ~s

I'm not in the bay area, but Woodland, just north of Sacramento. I met Sharon online last night so I thought I'd join this new group. My son left for boot camp on July 28, 2009. His PIR is 9/25, ship 06 div 945. He just made Navy band! I have another son still at home a jr in high school, and he's only 15. He wants to go Navy also, so when he's 17 he'll join DEP then be on his way. Married to my husband Cal for 19 years now and going strong, he was Navy also.
