My Sailor story is, I decided I wanted to enlist in the Navy. I spoke to our local recruiter and I was not yet old enough to sign. He told me because I wasn't far off to come to a Delayed Entry Program meeting. I attended the meeting and I brought my best friend along, to see what she thought. There were a lot of people and I didn't pay any special attention to any particular one..until this SUPER tall kid stood up. He caught my attention, being that I am tall myself. I spoke to him briefly but nothing much. He pretty much just thought I was ridiculous for knowing what I wanted to do so early, ridiculous in a way that he now thinks is soooo good. He added me on facebook and we became REALLY good friends, best friends. We joked and realized we had the same exact since of humor. I wanted to get off facebook, but we were having a really good conversation, so I told him to just text me. He did. I of course thought he was cute, and funny. But never really thought much of it. We texted until 2 am the next morning. We ended up talking all the time. We both like the Steelers, and being that they were playing in the superbowl(we were at 2 seperate parties) that was topic of discussion. Until my best friend began pestering me about going to the school dance. I reaaaally didn't wanna go, and he asked what was up and I told him about her bothering me....and he asked ME to MY sadies...strangeeeeee occourance, but I said sure, why not. Well, we ended up deciding we really liked eachother. Our first time hanging out was on our way to a Navy Meeting, in which he drove me, and his car broke down! it was incredibly scary, but one of my brightest memories of him. he asked me out february 20th, 2011 and we have been together since:) almost 5 months! <3

With my sailor the story is pretty boring, my senior year of highschool I decided I wanted to graduate early and started taking some classes at the community college. As it turned out he was in my 'freshmen english' class. The first day I walked in and recognized him. We started talking mostly about school things, what the homework was, who did what (since we both lived in such a small town we both knew just about everything). We stopped talking for a little while after finals passed but then started talking again through facebook. By then I was living in Boston going to a nice university, and he had said one day that he didnt like any of the girls back home. I told him that I would hook him up with 'some pretty girl' as I had said, thinking about all of my friends that I could set him up with. From there we talked more and more, both liked the small town things like tractors, camping, 4wheelers, motorcycles and just hanging out. One day my mom couldn't pick me up from the bus stop for my visit home for the weekend so I called him, and he saved me. (: We stayed up watching movies all night long because he didnt want to leave me home alone waiting for my mom.  Up till he left for BC we hung out every weekend all weekend. Now we have been together coming up on 9 months (: I love him SO much

Not boring at all:) Really cute actually!
Ok, here is goes :) I met my sailor through mutual friends. My best friend was about to be engaged to my sailor's best friend when I first met him. It was me, my best friend, and her soon-to-be-fiance at the time. We were all hanging out and having a few drinks when they decided to call him to come over. As soon as we met, we hit it right off! We decided to facebook each other and the next weekend he took me out to dinner. I had a lot going on in my life at the time so I decided then wasn't a good time for a relationship. He left for bootcamp a few months later and when he was in A-School we started talking again on facebook. I got his number and called him to wish him a happy birthday. We then started texting and calling each other constantly and when he came back home after his graduation, we went out dinner and have been inseparable ever since!! Until now....he's deployed and I miss him so much!!!! A funny/cute story would be that first weekend he was home I got really sick and he came with me to the doctor. I made a comment later that day that orange juice makes everything better....a few hours later he brought me a jug of OJ and took care of me rest of the weekend....I was shocked he actually remembered that I said that and I was embarrassed that I was laying in bed the whole time looking rough, but he didn't mind one bit! Haha! I knew then he was the one for me :) ...kinda corny, but cute!

You know - That's so true, the OJ thing! It makes EVERYTHING better. Very cute story:)

Some guys are just too sweet to care about solely external looks. Mine held my hair when i got sick and started puking. :) How long have ya been together?

Girl, I know! At first I thought I just had a cold so that's why I said OJ makes it better (turns out I had a sinus infection, haha!)...it's nice to actually find a sweet, caring guy....who happens to be in the navy...yay us! haha ;) we have been together 9 months!! :D

HAha, it is pretty flippin' awesome:) yay us!!!

we've been together 4 .5 ish? i dunno, it wil be 5 months 7/20/11(:

fairly new, but it seems SOOO much longer, the months have flown by!

I lovee your story. And i also have to agree with the OJ thing i always drink it when i feel sick and i feel better right away! Haha but while he was in A school did you guys get to see each other that much? Was he allowed off base or not to come see you?
He graduated the 29th of this month:) We'll findout!

My story with my sailor is, we met at my first job i was a party host and he was in admissions at our job. I would always stay after to help close up work and mop floors and he would always be there. He wound up saying something to my supervisor about how he thought i was "really cute" haha. That continued for a little while because of course i was playing hard to get :) Then eventually he sent me a message over Facebook saying he'd like to get my number. So i figured oh well whatever and i gave it to him! We became really close and he asked me to be his girlfriend.

The first date we ever went on he was so nervous it was adorable, I could tell he cleaned his truck out extra well and put on way to much cologne and i was making all kinds of mistakes embarrassing myself by accident. But he didn't even notice he just kept calling me adorable and laughing at my corny jokes. I thought to myself this is love at first sight! Haha:) at the end of the date we kind of just locked eyes for about 10 minutes, i was thinking "is this the part where we kiss?! oh my god i just ate onion rings my breath probably smells!" but we kissed, and he tasted like onion rings too so i didn't feel as gross :) Haha:) we've been together almost 4 months now, and spent absolutely every single day together before he left for boot camp so it feels like i've known him way longer than 4 months!

JohnsGirl! You're in almost the EXACT same boat as me(no pun intended) Minus the first date, and meeting at my job. We met through NAVY DEP. But we've been together 5 months now(: SO cool to meet someone who's also fairly new so-to-speak
Omg this is amazing yay I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's this new to all this! I read your sailor story and it sounds like fate to me! your first date together must've been cool that you could both go to the navy meeting together haha even though the car broke down! Is your sailor in boot camp now or is he finishing up?
