We met my sophomore, his junior year of high school during our school's annual music festival. I was the MC for each of the groups that came in to perform, and he was part of the stage crew that re-arranged all the chairs for each of the different bands/orchestras that came through. He, his best friend, and I basically all became GREAT friends by the end of that summer. Fast forward 4.5 years later, and here I am...his girlfriend. We've helped each other through break-ups with other people, and have basically stayed close throughout that whole time. It wasn't until he and I began to hang out and talk again (he moved away after high school) that we realized there was always something that felt different whenever we were together, so even though it was about 2 months before he was going to leave for boot camp, we decided that we'd give this a shot. :)

And now here we are, 2 weeks into boot camp and I'm DYING to get a letter from him!

So here is mine!

We first saw each other at a friends party. We probably didn't even care who was who, haha. A couple of months later, I got a membership at the gym near by my house and started going daily. A couple of months passed and I switched my routine to night workouts. I hated going at night because that's when all the dudes would go and I've always been a shy girl, so that wasn't fun at all. Haha. I had to start going at night because of school and practice and I wasn't going to keep paying for nothing.. So one monday, I got out of Zumba and went to go lift with a friend. I hated the idea because I saw a bunch of guys in the weights area, but she begged for me to stay with her ,so I did. I went to go get some dumbbells and that's when I saw Leo (my bf) again. It was whatever though, haha. I would see him at least 3 times a week at the gym for a month straight, but never did we once speak. One day, I had friend request on facebook and it was from him. In my mind I was like "where have I seen this dude?!" I ignored his request, till the next time I saw him at the gym again and I remembered. I approved him and then a couple of weeks later he decided to write to me. Haha. We talked through Fb for like 2 weeks and I stopped going to the gym because it was almost the end of football season and I was really busy with games and practices (I was in the high school dance team) So throughout the period of time that we talked through fb, we didn't see each other. He finally asked me for my number and we started texting, a week later he asked to take me out and I said yes. We went to eat and then he decided to teach me how to drive the first time we had ever hanged out? lol. But I obviously said no and kept saying no, so he parked at a park and said "we're not moving from here unless it's you driving!"  so I was like okay :).... We were there from like 2pm till 9pm. We both got a freaking tan on one side of our arms, lmao. We talked and talked the whole time we were there and actually got to learn a lot about each other... At the time I was sooooo not looking for a relationship, so he kind of bored me and annoyed me the first date. I actually texted my mom to call me and say I had to go home so I could leave. LOL. Mean, I know. But time went by and I started hanging out with him everyday and I fell in love. We are going on 9 months tomorrow and I couldn't be happier! <3 .. Btw, he never actually asked me to be his girlfriend, our first kiss to him was my yes to be his girlfriend, so our first date is considered our anniversary. :P

(Now that I look back at our first date, I get butterflies. Haha)

Hope my story isn't too long! LOL

My Sailor and I met in his senior year of high school,my junior year, He was a wrestler and I was a cheer leader, My practice started after his so I was sitting in the hallway reading the book: A Case For Christ, when the wrestlers got a water break. He came over to me and told me that was a good book and told me a website that backed it up, then he went back to practice. I was so stunned! I had seen him around school but didn't know his name or anything like that! I am really glad he took a chance :) we are now talking about marriage! :)

My sailor and I met a very long time ago. He is my brothers best friend. we just recently started dating and now are engaged. It has truely been a whirlwind romance but I have enjoyed every last minute of it. He is stationed in Norfolk and i am in our home state of Tennessee. The last time we were able to get together we meet in a small town half way between the two of us and went camping and cave hiking with my daughter. We played in the rain and roasted hotdogs and marshmellows. six hour drive for less then 24 hrs together. It seems to be the common thing now and we charish every moment.
