Hi Whidbey Moms! I just posted a short video clip of Chris flying the Prowler for the first time and was startled to realize that it was 8 months ago already. About 2-3 weeks ago, after a long dry spell, they started him flying twice a day. He's bouncing now and will probably do his carrier quals later in March. Hi wi-mom! Chris is currently in VAQ-129 as you can tell. Doesn't know yet what unit he'll move to next. Ya'll have a beautiful day.

Hi Moms, I just stumbled on your group. My son is an AD with VAQ-140 Patriots. He arrived at Whidbey after Christmas and is now on the USS Eisenhower. I never thought he would be doing so many different things the first 6 months in the Navy. Boot Camp, A school, new base and deployment on a carrier. Wow! I am so thankful for this site and all the moms that share their experiences. Have a great day!

The backup is everywhere. Talked with a N4M in my area and her son is just starting out in Pensacola. Moved down just before Christmas and is still waiting...probably April before he starts. She said some of the pilots are being assigned to desk jobs in the interim.

OK DJ here he is (see left). I'm frazzled, but doing fine. You can tell I've been all over the place on N4M this morning making up for lost time. Pulling the different pieces together, Chris is in VAQ-129. Had an emergency landing last week, will be bouncing soon and out on the Stennis for quals in March.

OK DJ ... How did I miss this group. Where is Win in Oak Harbor? When did he get there? Has he completed SERE's yet?
