Jan C, I would love the recipe. I looked in the Add your Recipes but could not see it.

I am not the best cook in the world but I remember not long after my husband and I married, he asked me to make meatloaf for dinner. I did and I used the recipe from the owner of the restaurant where I worked. All he could say was, "My mom's meatloaf is better than this." As you can imagine, it was about 2 years before I would make meatloaf for him again.

Anybody here have a favorite pasta recipe?
I have one I haven't made in a while. I'll have to search for the recipe before I can post it.

Louise, yes you can cut the recpe down. You can cut it by half or even by 1/4 to cook just what you want. If you like your chili spicy, just don't cut back on the chilis.

I love to cook but sometimes I just don't get the chance. I work 10 hour days and only have the weekends to do any major cooking except for the holidays. My family says my chili is the best.

I always make a very large pot so that we can freeze some for chilidogs or chiliburgers on other days.

10 pounds of ground chuck
8 envelopes of chili seasoning (any kind will work)
4 cans black beans
4 cans red kidney beans
4 cans pinto beans
4 cans chili beans (hot or mild depending on your taste)
4 cans Northern beans
7 cans chilis and onion and tomatoes
2 cans V8 juice
2 onions chopped and cooked with ground chuck
1 onion chopped for garnish
3 lbs grated cheese for garnish

Cook ground chuck and drain. Saute onion and add to ground chuck. Add all the beans, chili, chili seasonings and V8 juice. Cook for about 2 hours on low. Garnish with onion and cheese. Some of us also like sour cream on our chili.

Yum, I always love a good bowl of clam chowder and would love the clam cakes too.
