Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!
To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

Thanks Kathleen... if anyone else needs to update their info you can send it along in a private message to me! Have a wonderful week!!
It is the best when people will reach out to help... our list here has become a bit dated with lots of folks that have forgotten that they ever signed up! But still when I reach them they are always willing to help...
Gotta love Herb! What a great guy. Gwen - we are in the Denver area, so if your sailor(s) are in this area - Wyoming isn't that far - we will go and get them if necessary, but feel free to send them our way for some food and sleep as well!
This lovely comment is on the towing company's FB page this morning!
Soveryproudmom, if you "follow" this group, you'll receive emails when someone posts, so keep an eye out for anyone needing help in your area. You can send a message to Susan Mom to Niko by including it in a Friend request to her - go to her page here: http://www.navyformoms.com/profile/Susan53 And most important - Welcome!!
Would like to join this group, and be available to anyone in the area that needs help - or a place to stay if delayed at O'Hare, but I am unsure how to message Susan mom to Niko. Please let me know....
It said w/o being 'friends' the msg would be sent into the "Other" file so I didn't want to risk that.
By the way, here is a great Facebook tip I learned last week from Uli here on N4M -
On Facebook, go to your Messages, then at the bottom click the link "See All." At the top, you'll see two links - Inbox, and Other. If you click on Other, you may see messages that didn't reach your Inbox, and in my case and many of my friends, there are messages that go way back, and some were important. It's a good thing to know about, and check periodically.
