Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

Interesting Marcy....I sent a message and they didn't ask me to pay a $1.   If you look at his page under 2012 he helped somebody else as they sent him a letter and it is posted on his page.   He must be a great man!

So glad to hear!  I sent a text to the towing company, said a group of Navy moms are grateful to him, and got a nice one back :)

Navy Moms - actually Military Moms ROCK!!! Copy of last posted update - First, Cora called to let us know that he was up and running. Hubby let her know how grateful we are....then son called and said he's up and running, headed over for gas and coffee and moving down the highway. He's now open to taking whatever route is the fastest.

Yay!  That's the towing service I googled with the # below.

For what it's worth to anyone else - I gave my sailor a AAA membership when he moved to Norfolk and renewed it every year as an automatic Xmas present.  He used it for a dead battery after return from deployment, a flat tire between DC and Norfolk in the middle of the night, and water pump failure.  Even if you have roadside assistance with your car insurance plan, the peace of mind is well worth it - it's about $50 for the first membership (I have it too) and about $30 for the second member.

Update from Melanie - Thank you all so much. There is a repair man, "shout out to Herb Robinson and his wife Cora, of Sundance, Wy". They are trying to get him on the road, ASAP.

This is the troopers mssg to the Sailor. PLEASE PASS ON:

If anyone is in touch with him, have him stay there and just lock the doors and don't open them until a State Trooper arrives and shows ID
He said that was a really bad area for robberies after dark.
