Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

Baby Update!!  I just had a long and wonderful chat (first time) with our mom-to-be and first of all she says a huge THANK YOU for all the gifts, she's filled with gratitude for everything that you all have done.  She has "a stack of addresses right here on the bed" and plans to send thank-you's to everyone.  We had wrong info: turns out her husband in halfway through a year's deployment in Afghanistan. i will PM the details - she certainly is deserving, believe me.  She is a lovely gal and has just been doing her best to keep up with everything - oh and her ob/gyn left the practice this week, so she has to deal with a new doctor too with only a few weeks to go!

Susan - what wonderful news!

Hello all!

Update on Merri and Jeremy!  He got the pins out of his pelvis and is healing well... next step is his transfer to the Center for the Intrepid.  He will be fitted with stubby legs with metal plates on the bottom. Then he'll have to earn his knees.  Once he is up and walking on knees he will be fitted with his 'final' legs.  They are working hard to keep spirits up!  Merri so appreciates all the cards and well wishes and prayers heading their way!

Go Jeremy Go!

I haven't been on here for a bit, but had the same thought re Misty today.  I have her # from Pat and left her a voicemail this evening; will keep you posted as soon as I hear back.

Marianne & Whit's Mom, I have been wondering the same thing.
