Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

There are services that deliver packaged meals that you can reheat.  It's not Lean Cusine, but very nicely prepared and delivered to your door.  We did this for my mother-in-law for a bit and she really enjoyed it very much.

Here is one example:http://dinnersdeliveredasheville.com/

I would be more than willing to set up a few meals to be delievered to her once the baby is here.  This won't be so much of checking on her, but at least we can make sure she is well fed!

You guys are amazing! I will send a message to the Ombudsman and get more information. Mainly what she was looking for was someone to maybe bring the mom some meals after the baby is born and just check in on her for 2-3 weeks. Thank you all for being so kind and I will let you know when I hear back from the Ombudsman.

I would be interested in a Baby shower!

How fun a Navy Mom baby shower would be!!  Count me in - can somebody get her address and then maybe we could coordinate a date so we could all send something, even just a card at the same general time?

Agree - It would be great to help out.

Include me too. It would be great to know if she is having a girl or boy. Showering her with Navy Mom kindness sounds wonderful.

Lisbeth - What a great (and fun) idea!  Keep me posted if this happens!  I would love to be involved.

Pat, how about posting in the N4M North Carolina Moms group?  I would but you have the ombudsman info.

Are there any moms in the Asheville, NC area?  I received a message today from the Ombudsman for the Greenville. There is a wife of a sailor that is due to have a baby in July and needs some support.

You all make me so proud!  Wht a great loving group of moms we have across the US!  We are all united in wanting the best for our sailors!
