Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

this isn't your normal rescue post but it's a request for info.  i have a question for the "veteran PIR moms"  when my other daughter graduated my son and i drove up there so there was no concern about transportation.  this go round we are driving a u-haul moving her husband, their stuff and her car there but are flying home.  we don't know what will be going on with her so having her drive us to the airport isn't an option as neither is SiL (no license).  any suggestions on how to get to the airport?

Since my daughter (last child left for boot camp this week) the house is empty.  I am just outside of Richmond, VA and always willing to lend a hand if I can.

Hi Lydia!  This group helps when folks post a specific request.  If you want a wonderful experience sending care packages, please come join Molly's Adopt a Sailor Project on N4M.  Each month they adopt a ship or unit, choose a theme and flood them with care packages according to their needs and wants.  The group is like an ongoing party, very friendly and fun.  This month the 'adoptee' is a Navy submarine with 160 aboard - July - Under the Sea!.  When you join the group, introduce yourself and ask them to explain how it works.  It's lots of fun!

Hi Marsha, good to see you here!!  :)

Hi yall!!!!   Im sort of new here too...  I wanted to introduce my self.. My son is in the Pipeline for Rescue Swimmer.. .he has only about 6 months to go and off he goes!  Anyway... I am a memeber of the American Legion Riders.. we ride motorcycles and do fund raisers in order to ship care packages .. sea, land or air..  Sooo...  please if there are any needy military that yall know of that need a box of love.. let me know.  I have been doing this with the ALR now for 5 years and there is no greater feeling than knowing you are going to bring a smile to a soldiers face with goodies and letters!  Thank yall....

The link to MAS is N4M Molly's Adopt a Sailor Project and they were just filmed for a CNN "Leaders with a Heart" series.  Thanks to Molly I am now an expert on sending care packages!
