For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

We've been to South Dakota. It is a great ride out west. He'll have to stop at Wall Drug for the Free Ice water. The Bad lands are breath taking.

Comment by terbeasch on March 27, 2010 at 9:52am: Hi everyone hope all is well, just wanted to let you know my sailor will be driving home from pcola to cleveland mon or tues and then across the country again to the great state of washington around the 10 or 11, please pray for a safe and uneventful journey, this will be the longest trip he has ever done. i have never driven farther west than iowa and that was 30 years ago, not sure what kind of conditons he will run into from cleveland to bremerton, any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
