Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!
To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

Staci - It's great how you are helping this veteran! A card will be in the mail tomorrow!
Thank you for sharing, Staci. I sent it the story to a whole bunch of people on Facebook--I didn't put his address on there, though.
If I send him a card, would he get it if he got moved to the veteran's home where he wants to be and should be?
Thanks Staci... my card is on its way!

@ Mike'sMom, regarding your request - Please have your friend join this group: Norfolk Sailors Family and Friends. Here is a Norfolk contact for the Norfolk Navy Marine Corps Relief Society - Loretta Russell, (757) 322-1175 or email at Loretta.russell@nmcrs.org. And there is a local couple, John and Yvonne Wagner who are members of the Norfolk group and have "Open Bible Ministries." They open their home to sailors for Saturday dinner/game night and Sunday lunch, and will provide a ride if needed. Hope any of this helps!
Thank you Susan! I pray that we hear something soon.
Ashley
