PS not that I'm leaving THIS group, no way!!!!!
Well, for those who'd like to give it a try, I just created this for the corpsmen side, anyone who wants to give it a shot, join in! Corpsmen in Naples, Italy If not, I'll just be a lonely ol' corpsman mom, rocking in my chair here in the dark LOL
Hi Sheryl! How is Max doing? Any plans to come home on leave in the future?
I'm not sure if there are enough active members of this group to do a sub-group. We did have one member whose son was in IT although he is not active duty any longer. So, there are and may be other Rates other than Corpsman and MA's. This is also one of those groups where my tenure will be over at the end of the year since my son will be leaving Naples at that time. Just my thoughts on the matter!
So I'm just wondering...which is dangerous especially on a Monday morning! lol It seems that most of us Mom's are either MA or Corpsman Moms; it would be great to have this group b/c we are all part of Naples but then have a sub-group of MA and Corpsman Mom's so that we can better recognize if our Son's know each other. Some of you that have been around this group longer may know better whether this is a good idea or not...maybe their are not enough active Mom's that this is necessary and once we've been on here for a while we will just learn who's who. What does everyone think?
Hi Adele...I'm sure our Son's will probably meet up. How cool that your soon to be daughter-in-law is there for the summer! You're right, I bet the engagement photos will be gorgeous! My son so far really likes it over there but still has not decided if he wants to keep living on base on move off base. He still has not decided about getting a car either. ~Cathy
Philip just got there a little over a week ago so he's busy doing indoc classes. He has not been sectioned up or met a lot of the other MA's yet. He said he has to go to a week long law enforcement class which is sort of refresher of A School. He also has a class on the patrol cars to go to. He said it will probably be a month or more before they put him in section. I'm sure they will probably meet soon though as small as what I understand the bases to be.
Got whatsapp, thanks!
Donna...My Son is an MA but not a K9 Mom. I'm not sure if they have a lot of K9 handlers on base since it's such a small base. How long has your Son been in Naples?
