Hello!  My son left for Naples in July.  Does anyone have any ideas about what I can send him for Christmas...or places that could deliver him chocolate or something nice?  The list of items not allowed to be shipped to Italy is very long.  I saw sewn items were not ok to send.  I just had a shirt specifically made for him...  Am I not able to send it?  Also, I was going to send jerky, but I see that I cannot send him smoked or salted meats.  He was in basic last Christmas, so it was hard to send him anything.  I would really like to send him something this Christmas.

Libras mom   We visited our Corpsman this past April and stayed at the base hotel.  It was very nice.  You can even shop at the grocery connected to the hotel.  Your sailor needs to make the arrangements and cannot do so until 30 days before you arrive.  There was plenty of availability so I dont think it will be a problem getting a room.  I have lots of info-  please feel free to private message me.

Hi!! my son is in Napples since May 2014. We are planning to visit him on spring break 2015. Does anyone know if there is a hotel inside base for the military family when visit their love one?  or an affordable  clean hotel around U.S. base in Naples?

Has anyone had flowers delivered to their loved ones in Italy? I would like to send my daughter flowers for her birthday. She is at Campania. Thank you.

My son just finished 2 years there in April.  I think he liked it pretty well.  He got lots of opportunity to travel in Europe while he was there--of course he went to places in Italy--Rome, Milan, Florence, etc. but he also went to Romania, Switzerland, England, Amsterdam among other places.  This was something that he would not have been able to do if he wasn't in the Navy or stationed in Italy.  I think your son will like it.  My sister and I had the opportunity to go visit him over Christmas and it was great :)

Hi Everyone...Rachel went from Naples to Lemoore. Lemoore is located in the Central Valley of California. It's great to have her so close to home. She put in for The Nurse Corps Medical Enlisted Commissioning Program (MECP) while she was still in Naples. She found out yesterday she was selected! We are so proud of her!! Looks like she has the next ten years to look forward to. This will be another new adventure for us.
Hope you are all doing well and surviving the harsh winter. We pray for rain here.
