Thanks everyone.  Wouldn't you know as soon as you panic the package arrives!  So glad he has it!  Still learning this military patience thing!

Carrie, Amber has been great for Daniel he's gonna miss them when she leaves, Caleb is greeting quite attached. Sounds like they are having a great week in Greece.

I have sent many packages over the past year all in the priority boxes. I haven't had any issues. Good luck.

Have been sending packages over 18 mths now and not one gone astray . I will say though if they told them packages e were there sooner it would help at times ! In fact my packages get to Italy quicker than to my other sailor in San Diego !
Good luck on locating it

Did you send it priority?  After I mailed his first package regular mail and it took about 3 weeks to get there, I have mailed the rest priority.  It takes about a week.  Haven't lost one yet.  I have noticed that the tracking never tells me when it arrives in Naples.  The last thing I get is when it is in Chicago.  Have  you asked your son if he has received it yet?

Has anyone ever had a lost package in route to Naples?  Sent my son several items (including prescription glasses, stethoscope and charger - insured package for $350).  Shipped package via FPO USPS box on May 20th.  Traced the package today.  Last known spot was leaving Chicago, IL on May 21 in route to Air Force Base in New York.  Can't seem to get any help from USPS.  Any suggestions?

Your son is better off getting one in Italy, if he is not an officer the Navy will not pay to ship his car.  He can pick one up from someone being shipped out.  My son was going to get a car given to him, but since he is only 19 his insurance would have been outrageous, so he didn't take it.  Many of them share a car or borrow each others car.  They have a pretty good bus/train system too to get around.

My Son decided not to have his car shipped over.  He bought a car from someone over there for $500.  It's not a great car but it gets him around the bases.  If he's going to travel to Rome he either takes the train or he rents a car.  They can rent cars on base really cheap.  Car insurance over there is REALLY expensive even on cheap cars b/c everyone over there drives CRAZY!!!  I went to visit my son this past Spring and he warned me.  I have been to Honduras so was expecting crazy but this was really bad!  My Son is an MA so he has to drive in it and has become an AMAZING driver.  I was very proud of him.  He drove us all around including all down the Amalfi Coast!!

It was funny I was ready your post from a while ago, and thought is was a coincidence you had a Amber with a Caleb.

He is the Daniel. Amber had been so nice to him. Caleb is very cute.
