Cori--good luck to you and your boyfriend. My son wants us to move out to SD as well, he loves it out there! We are in Wisconsin and would love to get away from the cold but it would be a huge endeavor for us right now only for the fact that we need somewhere to live and work! Oh is that all??? lol  Keep us informed.

Just joined this group. My son recently graduated Pensacola and is now in California. I hear it's a great location.

Does anyone have suggestions on places to live near the base?

Cori - You can check out homeaway.com or vrbo.com they handle rentals.  We have used them for vacations to San Diego.

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on here but wanted to stop in and say hi. Looks like theres a few more people who have joined. I've been here in the Point Loma area since last Sept. Even though we've been here for over 6 mths, I find it still really hard to meet people who can kind of relate. I have a 4 1/2 yr old, a almost 3 yr old and am 8 mths pregnant with our third. If anybody wants to get together for a playdate would love to get together.

@Cori: What area is your sailor in or what base is he at?

Hi all---new to this group.  Sailor due in Coronado on Sunday afternoon (coming from Pensacola) PIR 2.4.11.  I am wondering what it will be like for him.  He is AN and going to join the CV but I dont know when.  Any clues on where he will stay and what he will do?  I hear it is a beautiful place---but also heard the barracks were not so nice and there were NO inspections???  Thanks and be safe all.
