Hello everyone.  My son is ATO and will be stationed in San Diego North Island in about 15 days.  Very happy about his location, not close to us, but he has lots of extended family that is close.  Can't wait to get out there and see him, of course I am very much looking forward to him coming home tomorrow after being gone for 6 months.  This will be his first time home since boot camp.

Hello, my son is stationed in San Diego.  He loves it since it's nothing like SC.  LOL.  Thank you for letting me be a part of this group.  :-)

Hey Michele!

I used to live in Monterey, we were there for 2 years while I worked for the aquarium there...I don't know about anything military there since it was before my husband joined, but I can definitely help with housing if you are looking off base or with other things about the area!

Comment by Michele_Ava on May 4, 2013 at 9:48pm

Hi!

Is anyone living around Monterey? My husband will be heading to school to be a linguist there after bootcamp which he leaves for on May 16th. Then after we figure out if we're getting a base house or not myself and our two little ones ages 3 and 1 will all be going out to join him!

Agh this is all so new and exciting and scary so much change :)
