Yes, it is possible that she will be on Hold at Lackland. She may also have training in between somewhere, but I thought that was included in the orders when that happens. She will know more and be able to tell you as it gets closer to her graduation date.

just a tidbit I wanted to share about graduation.  Although the building where graduation is held does infact say Carter Hall on it, it is very small and on the window only.  In very large print on the outside of the building it says SECURITY FORCES ACADEMY.  This may make it easier for those looking for this building. Myself along with several others had a difficult time as there were several new guards when you entered Lackland and could not direct us on where to go.  Also, for those of you looking for places to stay, if you find someplace on the 410 loop, it's super easy access to the base.  We stayed at the Best Western on the 410 loop and we were at the base in less than 10 minutes!

I read the below about graduation. I asjed my son about pinning on his badge and he said nobody can do that except his superior. So i am not sure uf that us a change or he just doesn't know. Also his Fiance went down last week to visit and he did not have to check her into the hotel, actually he wasn't even allowed in the lobby. Don't kniw uf that is different for graduation or not?

My son just graduated last weekend, 2/21/14 and I pinned his badge on him.

He must not realize that he gets to choose the person to pin his badge on.

Are there graduations on sundays

Not usually. Your Sailor will know when graduation will be.
