Can anyone advise what airport he may fly out of from GL to go to MA School?

My son graduated on 11/02. He left the next night at midnight to go to Midway and his flight didn't leave until about noon the next day. I know there are lots of variations of what can happen, but that was our experience.
Thanks for sharing your experience k9 :-)
That's awesome monkeyfoot! Congratulations to her! Way to go! Enjoy the time with her :-)
When you wait with your Sailor before his flight is there places that are open to eat in the airport? Can they leave to go eat if their plane is not leaving for a while. Does the USO have cots for them to sleep, I guess I am selfish I want to stay with him even if I had to watch him sleep. Can I take snack foods pass the gate? He is going to Lackland, TX.
Yes, there are places open to eat at the airports. Some have been able to leave and others have been told not to leave the airport, so you will have to see what he has been told. Yes, there are cots at the USO; it will depend on the number of people there at the time on whether you can go into the USO with him or not. You will have to watch the signs concerning where food and drink are permitted, but you may not be able to have them once you go through security to the gate area. All MA's go to Lackland AFB near San Antonio, TX for "A" School.
