My daughter is still in BC in GL. Shes half way through and doing very well. Im trying to think ahead. Ive read on here that she can have her cell phone and computer, be able to leave a little to go to mall and Sea World etc.

Can I visit her? Can I fly there, stay in a hotel and rent a car to take her around to do things? I will only see her the day of graduation because my other daughter has an out of town event the same weekend (there is other family who is spending the weekend with her in Chicago) Id like to fly to San Antonio and see my daughter while she's in TX maybe take her and a couple of recruits out to eat and Sea World.

From my understanding you have to wait til they are in Phase 2 I believe. In phase 1 they are not allowed to leave the base although you can go and see them and hangout on the base with her- she can not leave. Once they are in the other phases they will then slowly gain permission to leave the base, stay out overnight on the weekends, and so on. I will let you know more. My husband just arrived there Saturday 11/6 from BC. He was a grad-n-go. I hope this helps. If I was you I would just wait and let her talk to who ever is in charge of her once she arrives.
That will be wonderful, thank you. My daughters PR is 12-03. I havent heard when she will be in SA. Im hoping to visit a weekend to spend with her. It would be perfect to wait till she can stay out all weekend. I just hope she will want to..at 19 they dont want to spend alot of free time with parents. LOL
They will phase up to being able to leave base but I will warn you, it is near the end of the time that they are at San Antonio. I was hoping to have the chance to go to SA to visit my son and see SA for myself. I think he only had one weekend that he could leave base before he graduated and even then he didn't find out he was phasing up until the last minute. They are so busy studying while there that he really didn't want ANY distractions. Keep in mind, the ones ranking highest in class get first choice at billets when those become available. While I know you are excited and really want to see your loved one, remember they are working very hard to do well to help them in their near future!! My son was in the top 8 in his class and was able to pick and get the billet he wanted.
Thank you..it is hard right now. Ive been writing my daughter telling her dont worry about calling or writing me just put all her energy into getting through this. She has alot of family writing her and I dont want the distractions. I was hoping it wasnt such a tight schedule in A school. Ill just send care packages to SA instead of trying to get time with her. Thank you for the advise I will take it to heart. She wants an out of country assignment and I know those are few and far between.
