mikmack, yes, members have been deleted who were not active and even several who were active in Chat, but not other places on the site. I've been told that members are not currently being deleted, but it is a good idea to be safe.

Does anyone know about a Go Direct Express that will take you to your hotel? I have not flown in 20 years and am scared of flying very unsure of what to do for getting around. Looks like I am going alone. I have to do this for my grandson.

Thank you!
I've been getting the notifications and following posts and conversations but I've heard that if we don't participate in the page we could get booted. Have you heard that?

It's been a while since my son's PIR. We stayed at navy Lodge. Excellent accommodations with shuttle. Also had checked several other hotels around the base and seemed like all of the ones closest to the base had shuttles but I don't recall hotel names. I would suggest calling to get your reservation and letting them know it's for PIR.

Does anyone know what hotels/motels have free shuttle to and from graduation?

I'm staying active.
Welcome new members.
My son is MA3 (just made PO 3rd class) and currently stateside and will be for a couple more years. I'm not near as knowledgeable as others but will help if I can.
Best wishes on your Navy journey!

Katharyn Allayna, New Sailors typically have 10 -14 days of leave between "A" School and the first duty station, but some Sailors choose to take less than that or none at all for various reasons. Oders have been given very early at times and not until week 4 at times. See Break down week by week. As far as moving, that will depend on if he has accompanied orders or not. You can find your answers in Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors.

Davids grama, no, he will not have Leave until after "A" School. (See Break down week by week above.) He will have Liberty from about 10:30 on the day of PIR until sometime that evening and then you can meet him at the airport to give him some things and spend time with him before his flight. See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) to help you know how to plan your weekend.
