StevenHMmom: An MA is Military police. My daughter graduates from this programon Friday of next week. If you have any questions I will try to answer them.
Oh Goodness,,,...I am so lost and my son is not the talk type....What is a MA
am I on the wrong page?, he is a corpsman at A school in San Antonio...he is an E3....I believe he is still in phase 1, he does not start classes until the begin. of Feb.
?????? so lost
StevenDMOM, check out the Discussions above. There are some you may find helpful, such as Break down week by week. GrammyK has given you some good info as well.
Oops, sorry forgot which page I was on...guess you wouldn't have posted here if he wasn't MA...LOL
You didn't say if he is Corpsmen or MA. If he is MA, I offer my limited info:
He will get classed up, which means being given a date that his classes start. Most likely it will be this coming Mon or Tues. But Monday is a holiday, so most likely he will be given duties/watches in the meantime, and start on Tues. He will have one roommate They will be in classes alot, taking tests, learning take downs, searches, and usually on the end of the first class week, the dreaded OC Spray.(Pepper Sprayed in the face) and classes continue on after that in many areas. Depending on the date he classes up, count 7 weeks from then for a tentative graduation date, providing he passes all his tests. That's all the info I can offer right now. My grandson arrived (after PIR 12/29) on 12/30. He will be able to call you on his cell phone if you left it with him at the airport in his free time...sporadic and depending if he is in class or on watch...which both occur during day and evening. They have free wi-fi available to them in the common areas. Some chip in for internet svc together to be able to communicate from their rooms, I think. If you want to send care pkgs he will have to provide you with his address and Class. Hope that helps you...if not, maybe it will be info for another family whose recruit is MA. :)
Could you let me know as soon as you hear? I am thinking about driving down from Oklahoma City for the graduation...great opportunity to try out the new RV! :) Have you gotten an address yet?
My grandson arrived there after PIR 12/29 and was supposed to start classes today. He isn't the best at communicating to us, so I haven't received an address yet. Does anyone have a projected date for graduation for this group yet? I know it's a seven week course for him (MA) so I'm guessing it might be Friday Feb 24 or could it be later to allow for testing or other things?? Any former MA's out there who could shed light on this? Thanks.
Happy Three Kings everyone! I have good news remember my daughter arrived SA 01/02/12 after home X'mas vacation? Confirmed after graduation her official departure from SA is on Jan. 11, 2012.
FYI her arrival @ SA was Sept. 16... so for those who have MA's who started at that time u will likely need to consider that same time for grad.
