LONG drive for a short visit but it was fun! VERY hot, heat index was at 106! We stayed at the Gateway Villa on base and I was quite impressed. It was like a small apartment, living room, kitchen(complete with dishes, microwave, etc) TV in living room and bedroom, even little mints on the pillows! 2 rooms only $78 total. Hoping to stay there when he graduates but highly unlikely we could get a room on a Thursday due to all AF graduations. Maybe for that Friday, depends on when he can leave after graduation.
I have a ton of questions about what happen now.Can he still live in barracks in Hawaii or will he have to get an apartment? Still be able to eat in the galley (or whatever they call it!) I'm afraid he is in for a rude awakening as to how far his pay will go if he has to cover all that!
Good Morning Ladies .... My Dau is stateside yay! she will be in Maryland so happy...beautiful place also have two other fam members stationed at the other bases in the NDW(Naval District Washington) area...Already making plans to spend Christmas with her and her Bday... LOL ...Praise God ....On to our next part of the journey soon..She is so excited to go ! this will be a good first duty station for her... she said her next can be out of country lol ....
Heading to SA first week of June..going to hang out with her until Grad then take her home..Her Brother/sis havent seen her since she left Feb. Also my son who is a track and field runner was invited to represent Arizona at the track meet in UNM competing against 11 other States, instead of coming home since half way there we will just head to SA lol busy, busy busy,,,,,

We are heading to San Antonio next Saturday, only a 4 1/2 drive for us! We will go back again when he graduates in June..His little sister has mandatory cheer camp the week he graduates which is why we are going next weekend. ( so she can see him!) She hasn't seen him since he left in February!.
He hasn't found out if he will get the 2 weeks leave when he is finished or not, it depends on where he goes next I guess. They get to pick Tuesday. He told me he's not at the top of his class but no where near the bottom! He has a 93 avg so he shouldn't be too far down the list and should be able to have good choices left to pick from. He, too, is wanting to go overseas but says some classes get overseas picks then some will get all stateside...who knows! Guess we'll find out Tuesday!
