Brenda Sue, My MAA marched in the parade. I asked him if he knew the history and why. He knew some basics (always been a good subject for him). How about enlightening us that cannot make it to their graduation. I know basics which are probably not accurate anymore.
btw - He got his home state as well ~ Hawaii bound, shaka brah & aloha!
No, they are supposed to find out week 3/4. Orders were delayed during the budget "talks" so he found out just about two weeks ago.
The weekly breakdown is pretty accurate according to my son.
Thanks MountainMama...glad your son is close to home....definitely going to be a vacation hot spot for you lol ... about when do they find out where they will be stationed ... is that after they Grad ???
Destination...that is anyone's guess. The class that graduated before my son, (the one he was supposed to be in, except he got sick and was set back a week), got all overseas billets, mostly Guam and Bahrain. His class got mostly stateside billets. I was thrilled because my son got Beaufort, SC which is only 10 hours away. Guess where I'm vacationing this summer!
and also...where is the most popular destination for MAA now a days, after A School.. Japan,Hawaii,Guam etc.... ??
hello Ladies .....the break down of the week by week info above at A School is that still current ???? I was just wondering....and any pointers, advice you could give a new sailor that just started A School would be greatly appreciated.
Jaime
My son graduates MA school this Friday. I can't be there, but I will pick him up at the airport Friday night....can't wait to see him!
Anyone going to be at graduation Friday that could take a picture of my son getting his badge? If you are, can you send me a message...I'll give you his name. I'll be glad to compensate you...I really want a pic!
Hello Ladies ....my Dau PIR 4/15 at lackland now, started school Monday ....yay
I'm just curious - do non-Texans know the history behind the Alamo?
It is a great story! If you do go, there is a I-Max right next to it (in the Rivercenter Mall). They play one called "The Price of Freedom". It is the story of the Alamo. I suggest everyone go see that before touring the mission.
