hey! i just came back from san antonio last weekend! it was so great to see him and we got engaged!! but i would wait to go up until he atleast phase 2, when his curfew is a little later and he can also put in a request to stay overnight all weekend with you! my fiance put in a request to get overnight liberty just friday night and they approved him for all weekend! it was great! and when he hits phase 3 which isnt until about the last 2 weeks of school he can stay overnight with you. also make sure you go up a weekend that he doesnt have duty, they have duty every 5 days and arent allowed to leave base on those days! i had to calculate it out just to make sure he would be allowed to leave!

My son said that orders will come down Friday at the earliest, but it could also be later.  He seemed to think they were waiting for the budget to be passed in DC.

My son graduates on 4/8 and was supposed to go to Japan but got his orders changed to Guam.  One other guy was to go to Japan and is also going to Guam.

The AFROTC sgt at my school said they were told that they would be paid on the first, so that should mean our sailors will also get paid.  I don't know if that has anything to do with orders coming down or not.  I sure hope so!  My son is supposed to find out today, but the class ahead of him still doesn't know, so I'm not hopeful that we'll find out anything today.  But, maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised!
