Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks everyone! No word yet on his orders.. theirs alot of rumors flying around that they might not even receive them until October because the Navy is broke! :/

Congrats Jennyd soo happy for you both!! Were you surprised? Hope you both had a good weekend together. Hunters Mom, go to Grad if you can afford it , they all say it doesn't matter but when you are there they are Beaming with Pride. Glad all went well with the OC Spray. My son also said the FLASHBACKS were crazy. Gld that is over for my son also.

Went to San Antonio this weekend to visit my Sailor and he is now my fiance!! he proposed to me on friday when i got there!!

Kellymcd11, your Sailor is the one who will know if his graduation date/time changes.  My Sailor had his A School Graduation in Dec. 2008 and his graduation was moved and I think it has happened a couple of other times as well, so I mentioned it as a possibility, but again, your Sailor is the one who will know the date and time.

felicia, yes the oc they use is much stronger than what the police use. Actually most police dept have gone from mace to pepper spray. 

lemonelephant,  my son is graduating april 1, is that the graduation that has been moved up to thursday?
