Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son landecd safe and sound in San Antonio yesterday from bootcamp. He's got his cell phone and its good to finally get to talk to him. He loves the base and says its incredibly hot there. One would think he'd be used to it being from Oklahoma! Looking forward to weekly updates on his training. Can't wait for him to class up so I can send mail. Best of luck to all the new future MA's

Hello, just signing in to this group. My son arrived in San Antonio over the weekend from boot camp, and I'd never have survived without the N4M support. I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all (trying to speak Texan, although it isn't my native language)!

Welcome hellraiser78382! We can all empathize with you. This time will go by very fast, happy to hear your daughter will be close to you for A school. My daughter is trying to adjust to that heat! Mine has been there for 3 weeks and this is her first official week of class - it's been very busy!

Hello Moms, My daughter is in bootcamp right now, she graduates 8-28-15. She is coming in as a MA. We live about 2 1/2 hours south of San Antonio SO im excited for her to be closer to home!

That's what she was saying on the phone FEP - I couldn't really tell cuz she was crying. She knows she has to do it, it's all the changes again, she hasn't even classed up yet - that is next week. I know she can do it, she's scared of actually passing out. I will encourage to run with her roommate. There are a lot of them in the same boat. Different environment, so many new things again! I know she just has to get used to it - changing roommates again. She ended up doing really well in BC so I know she can do it now.
