He starts class on Monday and as of now he graduates on August 27th. However, I have learned through boot camp that nothing is set in stone. My husband was late getting to SA so he has been on hold for 3 weeks, but has gotten to do a lot while he's waited. We have been able to visit 3 or 4 times and he was even able to come home for the 4th. If your son gets there on Monday he maybe able to start with Tuesday's class. How did your son do in boot camp and were you able to attend PIR?

Good Morning! Graduation was neat and my Son got a fitness award. Teacher Mom I took some pictures of your Son so I will post them or you can send me an email and I will send them to you. I think your Son thought I was a stocker at first as I was taking pictures of him and he did not know me until the end. It was much more casual and relaxing and all their leaders were great and gave them great advise and said kind things about them. I think they made many bonds and enjoyed their shipmates.Brenda Sue it was not easy to get on base and when we left Housten the drive was easy. We are staying at the river walk with lots of activities all around us. Thanks for your help and no disrespect but the Base was not near like Navy Boot Camp and you could only but Airforce things:(

HA!! San Antonio is NOT humid compared to where I live!
Come visit me if you want to feel humid! Sometimes we expect to see fish swimming by when we walk outside!
I am much closer to the east coast of Texas - near Galveston.

Are the bluebonnets still blooming out there? I don't think they are.

Thanks Brenda Sue, Texas is really nice and more green than I thought, I was raised in hot but this is much more humid. Still love to visit new places.

sorry, my son went to A school in Virginia!
Welcome to TEXAS though!
Y'all going to see the Alamo?
Don't expect much there - but it is neat Texas history!
Is the weather killing you? It really hits you when you get off the plane, huh? The hurricane down south is cooling things off a bit.

Hello Again and thanks for all the tips on Texas. I'm in the air now heading for graduation! First time on internet for a while. We found a hotel on priceline on the riverwalk, watched Man VS Food to find some yummy places to eat and waiting to see what our Sailor want to do. Still looking for time on graduation my Son thinks 3:00pm.

Well, ladies Josh made it safely and we were able to visit with him this weekend. He was only allowed so much free time and couldn't leave base, but it was so nice to see his smile. We hadn't seen him in almost 3 months. There were not enought people to start a class this week so he is doing random jobs on base to keep busy. I think we're going to make another trip down to see him this weekend. It's only a 4 hour trip from our home to the base. Does anyone else have a Sailor on hold waiting for a class to start?
