hm - not sure - mine son is only an E-4 (Petty Officer Third Class). Only 33% of MA's who took the E-4 test got promoted.

I didn't know when my son did the OC spray - but they say (I think) that the baby shampoo cuts the "oil" in the spray faster and is gentle on their eyes.

Did y'all know that they get a certificate for being OC sprayed?

I live in Texas. I want to go to one of the San Antonio pinnings this summer. My son went to A school in Virginia. He finished two years ago last week! He is on his second deployment right now - due home sometime next month - after 7 months out!

Its supposed to help them out when they are washing their face, because as much as the water reactivates the pain, they have to get all of it out or it will crystallize in their pores. The thing about the Baby Shampoo is that it can get in your eyes without adding to the burn, because its so gentle. My husband used Milk too...lol

Hey Tina girl and all others here. I am new to this site, by son graduated bootcamp at the same time as Tina's daughter, but her daughter left earlier than my son. I guess I can start all over trying to gather information to try to be as well informed as possible. I will try to do that tomorrow. Thanks for all the information you all provide. Tina, when is her first official week?

Thanks Tina! Did you rent a car? I heard that they aren't allowed to ride in cars or something like that, so we would have to take a cab anyways. How did you get on base, do I just flash my military ID or are there shuttles.. No idea!! :D

Maggie, go back a few pages in here. Eric's wife just went and some mom's from the area left her messages of things to see and do.

Hey a question for everyone! I want to go visit my husband while he is in A school. I wanted to maybe stay on base, just to be as close as possible. Has anyone done that or visited and could give me some advice on where and what to do, I would appreciate it!!! :D

saw this in a magazine, thought i'd pass it on:

This year canvas on demand, a company that turns your photos into canvas portraits is offering a 16x20 picture to any mom of a deployed service member. Your sailor just needs to go to www.canvasondemand.com and register under "operation mom".
