Hi Tina!! your daughter is going to love her new freedom in SA! Take a look at the weekly breakdown in the discussion forum for a better idea of what she will be doing while she's in TX. I love the long military line that runs in your family! I am:

daughter of a sailor
wife of a sailor
sister in-law of a sailor

i guess we must really love the navy! lol.

brenda- i am a firm believer in the saying everything happens for a reason. althought it may seem crappy now, everything has a way of working out for the better. just from my own personal experiences..never EVER wait around for a guy. my ex did that to me for 3 years....he loved me, and wanted to be with me, just not yet. i finally wised up one day and left him for good and it was one of the smartest things i've ever done. maybe you guys can take a break while he's finishing up "a" school and you both can figure out what you guys want. then when he comes back for leave you can get together and talk it out in person. sounds like its a decision that can't just be made overnight.

angela- he graduated BC march 5th, don't think i've ever been so proud!

Well, he loved Seychelles - but got tired of being there. Most places he does not leave the airport.
Nope, not going career! He might have started out that way - but has changed his mind - so anything can change.

Angela, thanks! Nope, my Sailor finished A school in April of 2008. He went to A school in Virginia, though. I don't understand because I have not seen another one go to A school there. He is part of a MSRON squadron (Maritime Exeditionary Squadron). The Navy Times posts a picture every week where each major ship is, the Seabeas, the EOD's units and the MSRON's. Since August 2008 he has been to Kuwait (the oil platforms) until November 2008. Then Portsmouth, VA (some additional training in various stateside places) until October of 2009. Then he deployed to Spain. But. . . he has traveled to Seychelles for a few months, then some time in Sicily, and quick trips to Morocco, Liberia, Kenya, Signoella, and a few other places. (I have not had my morning coffee yet - so can't think yet).
