Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Matt is taking his first test right now also...he was studying all night for it! I pray that he passes too or it will be another week added on :(

OK Doreen :) My hubby makes quick phone calls to me too b/c he's so busy trying to do assignments for class and having watch and studying so I totally feel your pain on the communication thing LOL Hopefully your son will have better luck w/his upcoming phone calls and you can figure some things out =)

I can't believe some of them have gotten orders already? Has he been given written orders or they just told him that's where he'll probably go? Sorry to keep bugging you, but I can't wait to find out where we'll be! LOL Thanks for any info :)

OK, I have heard a few people say they were getting sent to GA for PRP too but I am hoping we get WA!

Doreen:it's looking like they may not be able to do the OC spray tomorrow(if it rains) Matt is ready to get it over with too :)
Stevesmom:yes he is loving it he's just very busy! Matt started school Monday and is a PRP-so maybe b/c he is PRP he won't have the option for K9? :(

Stevesmom(donna) how did your son get into K9? My hubby is somewhat interested in doing this?!? Was he selected or did he just pursue it himself?
