OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Does anyone know what a "PRP" is? My hubby said something about maybe getting this while he was in school...that it has alot of advantages! Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

I agree. I think that it could be done by a pop-up that asks Yes/No Does your Username contain your last name or that of your sailor or email address? If someone answers Yes, then they would be prompted to change it to something else.

Yep, I saw. Lots of people do not know about that and it is a safety and OPSEC issue.

Yes, "colors" is the presenting of the flag in the morning and retiring it in the afternoon....

Texas is in the Continental USA...we have the US Post Office here! If your sailor is mailing, you'll get it!
