If she hasn't already, she will need to put in a chit requesting extra leave time between A school and reporting to Kitsap. I'm not sure how the housing is assigned, but she could try to call the base housing number over there, which is 360-396-4399. She would have to call during lunch break because their hours are 7:30a-4p.
Hello All. I don't know if I am on the right group to be asking my question, but thought I would give it a shot. My daughter got her orders for Kitsap..We are wondering what is the procedure for getting her car out there and moving some of her furniture. Will she be assigned to housing right away? Also, she is planning on getting married in between A school and arriving at Kitsap - I am trying to postpone this, but she is very headstrong. Does anyone know if she just shows up with her new husband? Does he wait until she gets housing. She has tried talking to her sponsor in San Antonio but not getting much help. She is so busy with school and is extremely stressed out about how all this works. I am trying to help by doing research but I can find any specific answers..
Oops I meant my sons girlfriend, my husband and myself!
OK Thank You! My husband, his girlfriend and I have flights to go to his PIR in GL and then fly to San Antonio on Sat and stay for 3 days. We are so excited!
ElizabethA, He will fly out on the Saturday after PIR. He will not be able to leave the base the weekend that he arrives at Lackland because he will not have completed INDOC yet, but you could visit him on the base if you chose and if he does not have duties.
Check your My Page. I left info for you.
Hello all, I am 1 day new to Navy Moms. My biggest question is my sons PIR is Oct 10 he has told us he flys out to San Antonio that same night but he will have a few days in San Antonio before school starts.(and Monday the 13th is Columbus Day) Will we be able to see him and or spend time with him in San Antonio?
I'm glad I found this group even though my son will be done with A School in three weeks. Thanks for the add.
You are very welcome.
Thanks Lemonelephant!!
